Can any one tell if the Atlas True Track system is compatable with all other N scale track? What is the difference between code 80, 55 etc track? Will my Atlas Train Man N Scale set (loco and stock) work on all code track? I am new to the hobby and your input is appreciated!

100, 80, 55  code track refers to the height of the track or rails. 100 and 80 are most common. If your wheels have deep flanges like the old engines they will hit the top of the ties when you try to run them on less than code 100.
You will have problems if you mix the size of track.

bob, he is referring to n scale not HO. there is no code 100 track in n scale.

canuck, i am not familiar with the code 65 track. i do know standard n scale track is code 80 and all equipment will run on it. code 55 track will run most equipment, but if they have larger flanges they may bump over the spikeheads on the ties. when i left n scale code 65 wasn't available, but the rail size sounds like atlas correcting the bumping problem with a slightly taller rail size. ask the question over on the atlas forum, i'm sure they'll be better able to answer your question.
