F40PH- New or Old

if on the parts and service Tab, the parts for the f40ph are listed as older model, does that mean they're going to come out with a newer model?

Dunno if this will help... I have the three piece set: F40PH, dummy, and caboose, all came in a loooong box.  That loco is quite different, internally, than the flashing light, spectrum version that was/is sold as an individual unit.

Perhaps this is where the on line specs (old/new) differ from what you were expecting...

That old one looks an awful lot like the pre-DCC ready version.  It came with or without the strobe light depending on which railroad it represented.
