DDA40X

Hi.

The 2009 Bachmann catalog states that the DDA40X requires a minimum radius curve of 22" whereas the February 2010 issue of Madel Railroader states that Bachmann recommends a curve radius of no smaller than 24".  Can anybody tell me which is correct?  I realize that the bigger the curve radius the better.

Well the terminology "minimum radius" is subjective; it means something different to everyone. I would play it safe and go with 24" radius, I saw it at my LHS on the test track; it looked fine on 24, but would likely have issues on 22 if you didn't have near perfect trackwork.

I have one and run it on 22in track with no problems at all. both fast and slow. Track is Life like power lock sectional.
