'HO' 45 Ton GE Switcher(DCC) - she no work

I have tried everything I can think of including some ideas from this disussion area. I run a small layout with 2 other DCC locos which are operating fine. I use a Prodigy Advance system. I have tried to 'read' the decoder with no results but not sure if it is compatible with the system. I am considering returning the unit for evaluation.

It does not sound like an issue with your loco, you need to do some extra things to get a reading, but I'm not sure what all it entails since I don't have a prodigy advanced.
