Blue led lights on HO scale spectrum diesels

Hello, I have the newer HO scale spectrum 8-40C and 8-40CW and was wondering how to change the color of the lights from blue to white. I read somewhere to take clear orange paint and paint the end of the led light.

Correct. Probably best to use it thinned a bit so as to not overdo the first time.

A highliter often works well, and you can put on additional coats after each dries.
