Why no DCC

Hi
Because not all model railways are DCC equiped Mine isn't or rather will not be.
I just don't see the need for a super expencive control system for my proposed layout
When I have all the DC control gear I need and won't be running more than two trains at a time and what I don't have in the way of control gear can be easily made.
I have enough hassles with a PC how do you think I would go with DCC
