Model Trains as Memorials

As of this saturday my dog named Sarah will no longer be with us. I painted up a 4-4-0 that use to be Russian Iron Strips into a fictional B&O Scheme. I was originally going to paint it like the B&O Presidents but in blue instead of green. But along the lines i changed it to what you are about to see.




i still have some touchups and will take some better pictures tomorrow.

Thanks, I also have plans on doing 2 Overland coaches for her. one with the year she was born(I've had her since she was born) and one with the year she died(this year). and her portrait on it also.

Losing a loved pet is as hard a thing we'll ever experience,My wife and I have been down that road twice.
Your memorial will be fitting showing your love in a way most at least on these forums will understand.

We' being Yorkie lovers brought 2 more into our home to ease the pain.
So please may I Introduce Lady Sarah moms sleeping buddy......yep and it is a beautiful name..

For me this will be extremely hard as I raised her from the day she was born. I have 1 other i've had the day since he was born.

I want to redo the lettering on the cab. my custom decal color didnt match the color of the paint or decals on the tender.

Sorry to hear about the loss of Sarah.

I too have been down that sad road with Arthur, a stray that wandered into my life and taught me to overcome my fear of dogs and sadly died way too young.  Alex, an abused seven year old terripoo we adopted who brought joy to our lives for six years.  Ben, a simply wonderful friend who we adopted at two years of age and who lived to be 16 years old, he passed away last summer.  I miss them all.

We now have Kassey, a female Jack Russell who we adopted from our neighbours 12 years ago.  She runs the house.

I just went through this a couple of years ago. My dalmation, Stanley, passed on a couple of years ago. We have a new dog now, a Golden Retriever named Bailey.

Sarah was put to sleep this morning.......

It was hard watchin her be put to sleep. Though the hardest hasn't me yet

BORRF, I was also thinking, you can number the engine to where its the month and day she was born i.e. christmas 1225. Just a thought, if you were still planning on numbering those coaches.

The number on the engine is the age she was. hard to see but its on the steam dome. The coaches i was thinking numbering the year she was born, and the other one the year of her death.
