any tips for kitbashing and restoration? with limited funds i am considering picking up 10 or so junker steam locos for project use, adding up to $35

Get ones with good drives, avoid ones with sidewinder spur gear drives.

Pick up copies of the following RMC issues: Sept 1985, Oct 1985 and Feb 1986 for John Swanson's series "Steam from kits"
