Hey everyone, Any recommendations on the best Track code to use with N scale modeling, such as, What works best for operation and what looks best on the layout?

Atlas makes 2 codes of track and switches. Code 80 has been around forever and looks toy like compared to their new code 55 track. This stuff looks great.

Thanks for the insight. Will B man trains run well on code 55?

Bachmanns engines conform to NMRA standards, so that track should be acceptable.

Just as an FYI, Code 55 in N scale is equivalent to code 100 in HO - It equates to the largest rail used by the railroads.  Code 40 is equivalent to Code 83 in HO, a more stardard rail size.  But, working with code 40 is like trying to use wire for rail.  I would definitily stick with the Code 55.
