dcc ready

I am preparing to retire and I am going back to my favorite hobby of trains, but they have change alot...I purchased an engine which is entitled DCC Ready...what do I have to do to get it to full statis of DCC controled?

Basically, two things.
(1) install a decoder.  DCC ready means the locomotive is set up to make installing a decoder easy.
(2) install a DCC system.  If you you already have some track with a regular power pack connected, you must disconnect the power pack.
